Mypustak.com is an Indian e-commerce platform based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Their website has multiple genres of used/second-hand books to choose from, including the likes of fiction, non-fiction, academic, self-help, etc.
They offer something different than others in that their SOP is about getting free books, and the amount the customers would be paying will just be the shipping and handling charges for that particular book (interesting!).
Well, I had come across the website on a couple of previous occasions while trying to find some fiction books online, but was a little reserved at first. Finally, I decided to go ahead and give them a try… and it was definitely worth it!
The first time I bought from them was when I ordered ‘The Case of the Missing Servant’ by Tarquin Hall [#1 of the ‘Vish Puri’ series; starring a very interesting Indian detective!], at a very low price of ₹116/- only… and no delivery charges (as the website mentions). Not only that, the quality of the book was ‘like new/almost new’ as well! So altogether, it was an absolute bargain!
And so, when I was quite desperately looking for ‘The Painted Man’ by Peter V. Brett after reading and hearing about its positive reviews (in most cases), I was eager to get my hands on it. And lo and behold, I found it on mypustak.com again at a low price, and looking in a pretty good shape quality wise too. And without wasting any time, I went ahead and ordered it.

Packaging info.
- Outer recyclable layer/bag.
- Inner layer of bubble wrap consisting the book.
- Product arrived in an excellent condition; as shown and described on the website as ‘like new/almost new.’
- No bookmarks/any other stuff along with the book (not a negative by the way).
- Overall, excellent packaging! No damage to the product whatsoever, plus no damage to the package in general. Highly satisfied!
What was great?
- Delivery + packaging both were excellent!
- The website also displays the actual front cover image of the books, which makes it even easier for the customers to purchase, especially when it comes to a specific cover/edition required, plus the quality of the book in general when it’s used/second-hand (well done in this aspect!).
What could be improved?
- Apart from the front cover images, a few more images could be added like the back cover, spine, etc.
- Personally, had a slight error during the initial payment process which showed that it was completed, but the website showed an error even though the money was already deducted. But nonetheless, the order was later confirmed and shipped the next day, so no worries.
Rating: – 9/10 (Gem of a find!)
